Thanks for all your warm welcomes! You seem like a great bunch of guys. I'd be proud to have a beer with any one of you! I'll give you all a link here to my first restoration project. I won't "soil" this fine website by uploading it since it isn't a Maverick. It's a 1979 Lincoln Town Car. The last of the BIG years and 2.5 feet longer than a Hummer. Weren't the 70s great? http://tinyurl.com/5veh6c
Hey Deacon, welcome also. I used to live in Bellingham also, ad in ferndale. I used to play ball for the Beaver Inn. Don't even know if it's still there.
Welcome, MrBrent and Streetdeacon. I'm from the center of the state. It was sunny like springtime today. Beautiful day. Took the cover off my mav and got my blood flowing a little. Makes me want to play hookie from work and fabricate something.
Welcome aboard fellow Washingtonians!:Handshake I bet you're like me and you wish you still had the Type N/W! I picked one up in 93 for $100.00, wish I knew how rare they were back then. Wasn't until last year I did some looking and found they made less than 400 of them. Mine was a 4V Cleveland with an FMX and 3.00s in the rear. We have a Yakima resident here???
I have a friend that lives in East Wenatchee. One of these days I need to get up there and wire his Land Cruiser for him, just waiting for good weather so I can ride the bike up (better mileage than my 460 powered F250).
There are times when I wished I still had a lot of the cars from my past. The type NW was in wahington green, 300hp cleveland 351, at. It needed a limited slip rear. I went through too many tires. I got the new KYB shocks on the Mav. yesterday. Big difference.
Ummmm. . . that time is right now. 50s supposed to last through the weekend. Or do you mean really good weather? Try April.
Of all the cars I used to have I would want the Type N/W back and my old 72 Chevy Blazer. They claim 50's but we have had ice cold days with fog here. No time for a long trip on 2 wheels!
