    i know the fresh cherries had the same, so they dint know that we bought so many :(

    Excellent question! I was thinking the same thing when Ray suggested that buying them up would drive more production.

    I looked at what I have here and the answer is "Yes and No".

    All the cars I got at Collector's Day at Kmart came out of odd-sized cases, and were the same UPCs, whether they were cars that were Kmart-only colors or the First-to-Markets. I did not get any standard cars out of these cases. These were all one block on my receipt. Kmart probably does want to track sales of these Collectors Day items.

    The most recent pair of standard blue card cars that I have here are 2007s and they were different UPCs.

    It would be hard for me to say if the store chains track individual HWs models ... I doubt it, unless there is some agreement to provide the Big M with information.

    If purchasing a few assorted regular blue card cars, and they were to show up as individual line items on the receipt, then I would say that perhaps individual car model sales are tracked. If the receipt lumps different UPCs into one line, than probably not.

    What store in Ocala did you find them? Nothing down here an hour south of you. I even hit a bunch of Walgreens after a Diecast collectors group said Walgreens had special side-aisle displays. Nothing! :16suspect

    Not to worry ... there will be plenty of Mavs out there soon. The stores just need to sell some shelf stock of existing HWs for the next batch of cases to get ordered out their warehouses. Mavs are in the second assortment of cars out this year.
