    Just need some finishing up as well as a converter and should be ready to drop in my Mav. Hoping for high 11's

    Have you test fitted for that oil pan? It might be a little close to the LCA mounts. :huh:

    My pan is similar. Engine would not drop straight down. Had to remove motor mounts from the block, drop the engine down in front of the LCA mounts and then push it straight back into position. Then I raised the engine up as much as I could to install the motor mounts.

    Your pan may be a bit narrower than mine is. If not thats how you can make it work. Heres what my pan looks like.

    No numbers yet, i'm hoping for around 350 at the wheels. Is that a Moroso oil pan?

    Pretty paint but that oil pan aint gonna work. I narraowed mine and still had to notch it.

    Three 71 Maverick Grabbers, a 72 302 Sprint, a 73 LDO 2door parts car, a 76 silver v8 Stallion.
    I have this same pan...a little tricky getting it to drop in but I got it. Would almost have been easier to take the pan off and put it back on after you drop it in.

    i cant rember if it was a moroso or a melling. i think it was a moroso sence i have moroso sticker in the sticker pile and i dont have anything else that could have been moroso.

    Engine is a beauty!!! Can't wait to get my block back from the machine shop. Only difference is mine will have the heads painted blue, (I am using the old TFS High Port iron heads) and the Performer RPM air gap!
