I am wanting to repaint my engine in the car. I will pull some parts off. What colors do I need for accessory parts..water pump, pulleys, intake block, valve covers etc. Is it all Ford dark blue? Pulleys and water pump black?

    Thanks for any help. Brian

You want to make it factory colors? Everything should be ford blue ... pulleys black. P/S pump if you have one are generally turquoise I think ...

    A few more questions...
    1) Pulley black color...gloss, satin, flat etc
    2) Power steering pump turquise? color code?
    3) i have some hose that looks like dryer hose running off air cleaner and I think somewhere else...is that factory or a rig job? If its factory where can I get replacement?

Thanks for the help so far. Brian

You can get the corrugated tube for the Air Cleaner to Charcoal Canister from the dealer:

    Part #: D4ZZ-9D667-A

    1. Satin or Semi-gloss black

    2. There is a specific power steering pump paint. I believe Mustang vendors have it in a spray can.

For number 3, most good auto parts stores will have that hose. Like Craig said, for the power steering pump, National Parts Depot has a custom mix.

Small brackets were dipped in a vat consisting of mostly black paint and with any dark color body paint that was on hand. When the paint inside the vat started turning a funky shade of blackā€¦more black paint was added. This is why sometimes you can see anything from a dark green or red tint.
