Im just want to see how has them on their cars. Where you got it and if the quality was good or not. Pic would be great to. Thanks
I've been wondering about them too. I found this one on US Autobody's site. Looks like it fits pretty good but it isn't cheap. I have seen pictures of other manufactures hoods that look like hell. Hopefully this thread gets some first hand input.
Do a search on US Body.TOTAL CRAP!!! If that red maverick in the pic has a US Body hood on it,more than likely it recieved about 20 hours worth of work, before it was ready for paint!
Now we're getting somewhere, this is the kind of info that keeps people from buying junk and regretting it!
Since I usually deal with 60s Fords, I've bought several fiberglass hoods from Charles Crites in Ohio. Every one of them needed work before paint but I feel that's expected with fiberglass parts....but he doesn't make Maverick hoods. Maybe if enough people expressed an interest to him, he might consider making a few. His prices are fair on his stuff.
its listed on the site? http://www.critesrestoration.com/mustang.htm MAVERICK PARTS Maverick Grabber fiberglass hood - $320 Maverick c4 or c6 crossmember an insulator - $104 FMX crossmember an insulator - $104 1970-77 Maverick small block frame support - $99 1970-77 Maverick small block insulators - $45 pr Maverick 302-351w headers - $329 Header street reducers 3 1/2 to 2 1/2 - $25
also you could always make you own poly hood.... http://www.d-series.org/forums/diy-forum/127201-diy-polyester-hood.html
I like that a lot too. Seems like it came out pretty good in the end. He has some reinforcement in certain parts.
