Yeah!! I finally scored some. I walked into the Shoprite supermarket and they put up a four sided shipper display for Easter. I found 12 of them in the display. I only bought 6 but I noticed that two of the twelve that I found did not have the word Grabber printed on the fender under the Maverick emblem. I wonder if this is a variation or a mistake? You guys should check out the ones you found to see how they were tampo'd. I tryed to take some pictures but I can't get a clear picture that close to make it clear and readable ...

10 TREASURE HUNTS !!! WoW that is unheard of. Were any of them Super Thunts? Which cars were they?

 

Picked up 2 more, up to 18 now and only stopped at 3 stores. Guess I will have to try harder and see if I can get to 50.

Sgaugeguy,Hello Bob ,to answer your question about the treasure hunts ,i got 2 09 fire -eaters,2 09 Bone Shakers,2 2010 Classic Packard(supers)with the blue rims and whitewall tires ,the rest were just classic packards,i got all 10 for 10.00 plus tax,i figure the 10 are worth 100.00 to collectors here in Canada. Im keeping 1 of each and selling the doubles

 

Mine all say Grabber.

 

Mine too... the word "GRABBER" is off on acouple of cars that i have, but they DO say GRABBER... Maybe is a RARE HOT WHEELS.. Kinda like the "Butcher LP" of The Beatles???

The only way I have found to take good pics of HWs is a camera with a macro setting, placed on a tripod, and tripped with a timer. Take pics with and without flash ... still only half of the pics you take will be "good" ones ...

 

I just scored 7 of these!!!

 

Mine came in yesterday and the side stripes are horrible. They're not even close to the wheel openings. So I'm still gonna keep my eyes open for them and hopefully find a better one later.

 

My side stripes are all off also. All 12 that I checked out were off. I just picked the 6 best ones. Two were missing the Grabber tampo on the fender so I did not care about the rest of the stripes on those two. The tampos on the hot wheels are never the best. Its a 99cent car. Now the $4 Johnny Lightnings are a different story. More expensive cars better graphics ...

 

better believe if I come across any of these that do no have the "grabber" on them I am gunna buy them and put them away for 20 years. along with several that do have the "grabber" on them to prove the difference Mis-prints are always worth more later down the road to collectors.
I havent been in many stores to look but the few I have been in haven't had any.

 

i pickes up 6 more today. all have the word grabber on them.

 

Picked up 18 more yesterday in my local Fred Meyer store. 36 total now. All mine except one say Grabber and stripes are correct, the one that doesnt say Grabber the has only half a stripe

 

i'd like to see that one.....




And i just picked up another one this morning at the local walmart before i come into work
