Ever since I changed my tail lights to the '67 Caprice stuff, I have been without reverse lights. Not sure on the legality of that, I know some cars never even had them back in the 60's... But either way, my plan has always been to go back and add them, and I've been sitting on a pair of Mustang reverse lights for quite a while now trying to decide whether to install them.

All the cosmetic changes I've done to my car have been inspired a mix of Mach 1 and 68 Shelby, so if any external reverse lights would be appropriate it would be these, but I just can't decide whether to do it, so I Photoshopped it, and now here's a poll.

...So, do it or leave it alone?

I'd like to put them farther apart, but there's really nowhere else they can go without notching something. It's a tight fit. Here's fan2488's car, where you can see they're in about the same place:

I used these for a while. They are '69 Camaro RS reverse lights and bezels. BTW, the entire setup, including valence panel is for sale. PM or email me if interested.:)

Clean and simple is my vote. I say dont worry about it. Legal or not, there will not be any on my Comet GT.

I like them towards the middle, then they don't look like fake exhaust tips.

That is the way I mounted mine :yup:

I've driven older cars that had no reverse lights because they were optional back then and it was no fun backing up at night without them
