My mav is pretty solid, but still needs a little work in some critical areas. I wanted to go with a glossy black, but Im pretty sure you'd see EVERYTHING! So I would like to paint it a forgiving color, so not much will show. Any advice?
White or Yellow are good colors,to hide some body work.Anything dark like black, green, red ect.will show more waves than what are in the ocean. How critical is critical, and what sections of the car? Any pics you can post?
No pics that would do her justice! I plan on getting fiberglass fenders, and hood. Its just certain parts of the body, I'll run over it again, maybe post some pics
Exactly..... Sand, smooth it over, sand, sand, and sand some more. The smoother the surface, the slicker the paint job will be. It's worth the extra effort when it comes to paint and body work
I agree with the last three post 100%. Preperation of both the bodywork and sanding before painting is absolutely essential if you want the car to look good. The most perfect paint job in the world will still look like crap if it is sprayed on top of sub-par bodywork. Black is the most unforgiving color as it will show every little flaw in the bodywork or sanding. White, yellow and other very light colors will hide a lot of imperfections quite well.
haha, thanks guys! While I save up for the bigger stuff, I guess I'll have plenty of time to get the bodywork right!
What about accents that would work with the Comet/Mav lines? Are there any specific accent shapes to the primary color that would work best or be most aesthetically pleasing to the body's contours?
