maiden voyage

    took the mav out today for the first time and made it back home safe and sound still it wasnt a great ride something is wrong with the carb ease into it and its fine jump on it and it bogges down let off and it picks right back up as thou the secondaries are not opening up. more tuning i guess.but at least i got to drive it.first time it has been on the road since 1974.so i guess it did as well as exspected.

    Could have been worse...at least you didn't have to walk home. You know the problem and know how to fix it. There's always a bug on the maiden voyage. Congratulations on getting behind the wheel again.

    YUP, MAYBE NEXT TIME. I WAS ONLY THERE FOR ABOUT 2 HRS, LOOKED AT EVERYTHING AND ONLY BOUGHT A $3 GAS CAP FOR A GRANADA :16suspect lol

    figured out my carb issue today it was a linkage problem.set screw was missing for the secondaries not pulling them open.put a temp wire on it and wow does it ever make a difference.will put a set screw on it sunday then watch out im going to tear up the country roads a little.
