So i am writing this thread about building a custom center
console for my 76 Maverick. :thumbs2: I am going to put
bucket seats in it eventually. However, at the moment I
Just want to build it to have cup holders and the ability
to put a radio in it. I am really wanting this to be a thread
of its progress and possibly to have ideas and things like
    that thrown around. :)

yes cup holders would be nice. ide like to see something that streaches to the back seat so they can have cup holders too.

302, there is a clamp assembly you can buy in JC whitney which adapts the stock size to be able to hold big gulp size cups. it isnt a pretty assembly but will hold you over for now....

columbus, did you start with one out of a newer car and mod it or is that a scratch build? Very nice!

Built it with 1/4 inch plywood then had it covered.

Hey Columbus do you have any other pictures of your interior, or any build shots? Looks dynamo, I'd love to see more. ;)

I'm thinking of going with the 66 mustang console from one of mustang suppliers. There only around 125.00 -less than material/finish costs if you built your own, plus you can modify it to your own taste with guages, available brushed alum inserts or woodgrain. Also available are the hump hugger arm rests with cup holders, again all this put together probbly less than time and cost of making one. Its a sharp set up to me...
