wowwwww, they did an awesome job with that. that's some high end looking stuff. leather in the middle and vinyl on the outside?

looks great. I personally never cared much for leather anyway. My jeep grand cherokee I thought was all leather all these years and I found out when I sold it that it was vinyl and I liked it a lot more than the Hummer with all leather.

hey guys, please allow me to vent a little.
i have made only good experiences with buying parts from members on here or on ebay motors. seldom someone wasn't willing to ship overseas. communication with most sellers has been good so far.

over a month ago i posted that i had bought a clutch pedal set on ebay. it was supposed to be complete and was fairly high priced at $350. i asked the seller whether he would ship overseas which he told me he would happily do. he charged me $150 for shipping which was also pretty high. i payed immediately with paypal.
then, nothing much happened. every week i sent him an email asking if he had shipped already. he kept on telling me he would do so 'after the weekend'. after three weeks, i sent him an email asking to finally send out my stuff. he got angry at me and told me he was a busy man.
a week later i had still not heard anything. i filed a complaint with paypal and asked him to refund me. not a word from him.
now another week has gone by, and it seems i will have to rely on the paypal buyer protection. as this does not guarantee a refund, please hope with me that i will get my $500 back.

on the other hand, i found another pedal set on ebay. priced reasonably at $125 with the frame rail ball and the springs missing. he charged me only the actual shipping costs of $75. if i had not been that impatient a month ago, i would have now made a good deal.

i can only hope everything will turn out good...

totally ridiculous! you should leave negative feedback because that's inappropriate. if you haven't already, ask for the money back. Paypal buyer protection is decent, I had to use them long time ago when I bought a laptop.

on the other hand, i was able to get some work done:

toploader cleaned up from the outside
    [IMG]

    taken apart completely
    [IMG]

    housing completely cleaned up
    [IMG]

painted with VHT "cast blast" engine enamel
    [IMG]

hurst shifter with all zinc plated parts and a new handle
    [IMG]

hopefully i'll be able to put back everything together next weekend!
oh, and a premier source for toploader rebuild kits is kajunjon.com - very nice people, awesome to deal with!

After $500 sent, a month wasted, and no shipping, that eBay seller deserves a serious smack-down.

I'd love to know the seller ID .... I'll add him to my blocked ID list. I think a bunch of other folks here on the board would too. Makes it hard to sell a $350 clutch pedal when a large portion of the Mav/Comet world isn't buying.

    C'mon, ... "out" him ... :thumbs2:

I've had call to use the PayPal buyer protection on 3 occasions and all 3 wound up favorably for me. It is not a scary process at all it just takes 28 days on a minimum to get your refund.
