anyone know the milage on a good running 200 or 250 6? had a dream of $8 a gallon and its got me thinking of a swap if it gets too bad
I'm planning a 2.3/5speed swap, it would get better gas millage and make more power than the SB 6's. I just need sell one of my cars and buy another maverick/comet.
sombody needs to swap the new ford ecoboost v6 in a mav. over 300 hp twintubo that gets over 30 mpg. now that would be cool.
that is good, but the thing that scares me is the future, when gas prices will go up. I wish i lived in the time when gas was 15cents a gallon......
Curious to know, but what kind of mods to the engine bay would that require? I've never seen the engine, would the towers need to be shaved or something?
i would think it would need mustang 2. also right now its in a fwd configuration because its only in the tauras sho. its susposed to be in the 2012 mustang. it may fit with the shock towers with some custom headers and piping.
Going from a stock 302 to a stock I6 in the name of fuel economy would not be worth while. A new ecoboost would be cool, but it would be a wiring nightmare to say the least, and it's still in a car that's probably more aerodynamic going backwards then forwards.
who said the motors stock? but i see your point, i was getting 22 with the old motor and it smoked like hell torward the end
