Ok, I called the hotel( holiday inn)
and they had the rate wrong.
The rate is $82.00 US+ tax per night.
If your going to reserve there 425-339-2000 and tell them to give you the cruzin' to colby rate.
I did it the hard way first by calling the toll free number who gave me the high rate.
I hope this info helps someone.

 

I just got through calling and making reservations at the Holiday Inn. They only had 2 rooms left witch means that now they have 1 room left. the room is 2 queen beds for 82.00 as stated. see you there unless for some reason I don't got to the family reunion in Tacoma, then I would meet up in Bellingham. I will know more on that at a later date.

 

I thought i would let you all know that my friend Peter 1badmav (1970 Raven Black ) he was the black maverick at last years Mega Ford Weekend) just waiting for his passport and conformation number,so add one more Canadian to the list .

 

Yuppers! Peter will have sooo much fun! do you know any of the other people that attended the Mega Ford Races that may be interested in going?

I was thinking that if you, Peter, & Thomas go together, then I will cross with Cliff at the truck crossing. This is better for me, not so far out of my way. That way I will have a direct route to Bellis Fair. We will meet you there at the Buffet Restaurant. Thanks.

So far so good, will I meet up in Abbotsford with you and Peter. I'll need to know where and when?

 

I sent an email to coordinator of the event for a spot for all of us to park together, have not got a response as of yet but mentioned that there may be 20 or so Mavs and Comets so to not make a liar of me lets make it happen, nobody cares if the car is show quality or not so dont let that stop you. Get your registration in

Coop do you know who from the US is coming ?

Hi Mike,

We worked out a special arrangement with the VW's last year. They even have a different entrance to the show, for easier access.

Due to limited access for entrance with the streets and the heavy congestion during "load in", we aren't able to save spots.

However, we'll try to accommodate your needs. It will be easier if you could all line up together. Do you have a confirmed number of cars?

I'll talk to the chairman of parking tomorrow and see what he has to offer.

Update on parking at Colby, here is the response I received today.

Note that they ask we be parked by 8:00 am, I know this may be an issue what do you guys and gals think?

Hi Mike,

We spoke with Mark, he's in charge of parking. He said he'll have parking for you on Rockefeller, same street as the VW's, across Hewitt Ave. Your group will still come into the show area the same as last year, and then you'll be directed to the area set aside for you.

Your group will need to be in place by 8:00 am.

I hope that will work for you.
