Nobody make the 4-door weatherstripping. The weatherstripping is not just a straight piece of plain jane rubber. It has molded parts that can not be duplicated.
2-door ones will work....but would have to be cut down as they will be too long. Seems like a lot of expense....just depends on how bad your current ones are I suppose.
I can tell you first hand the repop door weatherstripping sucks compared to the factory original. The quality between repop and OEM is not even close ... I wonder if classic Mustang owners have this issue. Hold out for nice used OEM weatherstripping. As long as it is carfully removed without tearing it you will have no problem putting it back on.
Agreed 110%. The worse part of my car build was the weatherstrips and window trim clips. Didnt get a response to my email sent to A.K. about the quality. I know they dont make the parts but they sold them so they should stand behind them and welcome input positive or negative.
If I remember correctly .. AK sells the WRONG clips ...they sell the BROWN REVEAL CLIPS ... you really want the YELLOW REVEAL CLIPS for Mavericks .....
ill have to come up with something, absolutely everything rubber on mine leaks and is cracked. started painting the trunk 2day with rust repellent and im gonna be putting bed liner coating on 2morow, floorboards prob next week to help the old lady from becoming a rust bucket
so out of these pics which area will give me the most trouble and which areas should not be glued as mentioned above
None of that weatherstripping is supposed to be glued. Only the weatherstripping on the door itself is glued on.
