Do they come with the padding under them or is it just the carpet? The padding that's under my carpet is some pretty nice hefty stuff.
Mine came with jute backing. I also used an aluminum foil backed bubble wrap stuff under it for sound and heat insulation.
Autocarpet.com or something, ill try to find it EDIT: not a bad deal but... http://www.burgessfabrics.com/autoc...-1969-1973---ford-maverick-2-door-carpet.html
I got mine through ebay, but it still ended up being purchased through ACC. And for future reference, do NOT tell them you have a 1974 model. This is a transistional year, and some had catalytic converters, hence the cat bump. So I told them 74, got a cat-hump carpet, and no cat hump. So mine bunches up a little around the floor shifter. Tell them you have a 72 or a 76 to get the non-cat or catted one, as appropriate to your car. You can see the aluminum stuff I used out back, and the extra material under the shifter in this pic. Otherwise, I am very happy with the carpet. Cut Pile to make it more modern looking.
I know exactly the material your talking about my dad has a big roll of it big enough to do a few cars that we are using on my 73.
No, the extra material I am talking about is when I ordered 1974 model carpet, I got extra an extra bump molded in where the catalytic converter hump is in later cars. ACC thinks that there is a cat in the 1974 cars. Actually, there is probably enough extra space in there to actually shove a cat or two in. It may take up some of the extra space...
^^^^^^ Yes i get it.... My dad has a big roll of this stuff and we are gonna use it. I just quoted the wrong post.
Oh, Got ya! Your dad has a bunch of the foil material. I got that separate at Lowes. the extra material I was originally talking about was part of the carpet. I think we have that all ironed out now, right? Hope you all enjoyed the kitty pictures.
