Scooper you brought back a memory, Back in the day (1975) i had a 72 model Maverick. And at about 30 mph my hood would rise up like yours by itself. I never questioned why, but it was pretty cool. I have never saw another one do this, and yours brought back the memory. Thanks.

frank i got 2 in in the rear by just rebending the back curve so it was steeper but still had a stock looking curve to it. so that the straight line down the top would line up with the line that travels on to the cowl

fan your selling your maverick????? always thought your car was in the top 10 of all the ones ive seen on this forum

Looks like you know how to fabricate with detail. I think it will look great. It may be the best Maverick hood on here... well.. next to Rayzorsharp.

Me too. I remember driving my GT down the highway and the rear of my hood would lift at abpot 40 mph on. It had a L88 scoop, no hinges, no latch. It only had pins and I forgot to pin it one day

thanks guys yea this is my first real turn at it like i did the cowl and then the hood now first really body work and fabrication ive ever done. and thats why its so simple and easy there is less work for me to do and i like simple and clean

Rayzorsharp has the Shelby gt500 looking hood doesn't he??? i like that hood. and i cant remember the name right off the top of my head but he did the cowl grabber hood that looks amazing too
