well this is after the first day of glass and bondo getting really close. just a couple places here and there that need some more filling. looks like ill have all the major bondo and sanding done tomorrow and have it in first coat of primer so i can drive her to school tuesday. then just more sanding and priming and wet sanding and primer etc etc. just put it on the car to see how it looks. im pretty proud of myself

yea just searched the cobra R style hoods and yea it does look that style kind of funny just had a picture in my head and went for it. never knew there was a hood that was pretty much the same thing

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
the cobra R hood is my favorite hood for the fox bodies and SN95 mustangs and they even make them for the M12 thunderbirds :)

and now you have one that looks equally as good!

    Nice work man(y)

A ton of people always have these ideas and always talk about them
    but few achieve their goals.

You've inspired me to go do my own custom spoiler idea now :bouncy:

i think that would also look great on a grabber hood.

thanks man yea i want my car to stand out in the simplest ways. yea i also have a spoiler idea my truck lid and havent seen it on the mavericks before, but im starting at the front of the car fixing all the body work and rust and then moving my way back

yea it would look sweet on a grabber hood. the only thing about it you would have to cut a section out of the center of the hood to make it skinny enough to go in between the air scoops on the sides.

I agree that this one looks clean. Adding to the Grabber hood, which already has scoops, makes it look busy. How many openings does the hood need?

well the hood is basically finished just needs wet sanding and a finally coat of primer. going to drive her tomorrow to school and just in time since suppose to get rain all week here basically and before with the whole in my hood couldnt take a chance with rain. but now no worries and it looks awesome at the same time.

Are you treating the underside with the same detail work?

lol.. I hadn't been back to the first page and didn't realize it was there. That hole looks kinda ..well.. nasty. I can't see it very well tho. Do you still have support cross members? Just wondering if the hood is stiff or if it got a little flimsy. I'm sure it's ok just curious. I am gonna be doing a L88 on my spare Comet hood for my GT and like to see how people cut and modify and what happens.
