Scored 4 blue ones and two extra yellow ones today from two different Walmarts. I left behind 3 blues and a yellow.

Say what are the numbers for the yellow HW ? Found a blue one with the 33/44 number. Are there other colors than Y and B out there?

But if there are millions, they are going to be worthless:hmmm:

If there were a million 67 gt500s, then they wouldnt be 150 grand cars:naughty:

You guys would have been in hog heaven at my Walmart today. Probably around 40-50 blue Mavericks. I picked thru some and got one with some near perfect stripes. I also got a 1962 concept Mustang....that's a cool one for a Ford fan.

I have been reading through here where you guys are buying a bunch up to hang onto....just be careful. Toy car aren't the best investment. I know tons of people who have lost their arses on NASCAR collectables. Not all Hot Wheels will be worth big dollars in the future. Plus most of you guys are yet to have kids...they'll ruin'm all anyway. Spend your dough on your car....not toys cars. ;)

I got one of those too. Very pleasant surprise to find it. Ford should make that car for real right now.... looks like the same basic structure as a Fiero except a roadster. Make it with full height windshield and a roof panel that could easily be removed and I think they would sell a bunch of them.

You are right about newer diecast not being much value as collectables. Anything past the mid-1990s in HWs blue cars are pretty much flat. It seems like an awful lot of people started hoarding them as the values of the earliest HWs started to go crazy. You almost can't sell them at the most hardcore diecast shows.. I've tried several times. I have been giving them away ... my grandson has been the lucky recipient of some primo 15 year old cars to bash up. I also have given some away to hurricane relief efforts and at Halloween ... little boys freak out when you throw a new car in their bag instead of candy. (y)
