Plus there were never any Mavericks built in Oakville, that must be a typo. :)

I've only seen one Wayne car. It was a 74 4dr that the guy's Mom had bought brand new. It was in great condition (I saw it and documented it in 2000). 74 had a spike in Mav. production because of the first fuel crises. I think around 25,000 cars. That was the year when Pinto production hit 544,000 and Vega sold 427,000. That was also the year when my Dad traded in our 65 Impala SS (for $700!!) on a new Mercury Montego MX Brougham 2dr that I now have. Montego's are rare, but the Impala is worth gobs more money. Of course in 74, it was just a nine year old used car with 120,000 miles on it. Every Maverick I have owned (17) were built in Kansas City. I have bought parts from a guy who had a St. Thomas built 70 Grabber though. That was back in 85.

I'm really surprised the dearborn cars are outdoing the wayne cars. I've seen far more wayne cars then dearborn cars. My '72 I drive everyday is a Kansas City car, but it has parts from every plant on it since it's just pieced together.
