well after 9yrs of trying to keep my car running im finally gonna do v8 swap. going to fuel injected 302 with forged internal and cobra tid bits, long tubes, built stalled c4, ported n polish gt40p heads, and gears.

ive changed a few things with interior too, one bucket seat lol, and new grant steering wheel.

Can you elaborate on those? The link did'nt really provide the info or maybe i missed it. That sure would cure burnt plug wires.

the GT40P heads have the spark plus exiting straight out, which on one side go straight into the header.

The "non P" GT40 and the rest of the Windsor heads out there have them at the regular angle and you dont need these :Handshake

yes im getting the make your own spark plug wires kit, so i wont run into that issue. My bf had the same set when he ran gt40p heads.

its just so hot here right now, i dont feel like going to the shop to work on my motor lol but i know its gonna happen, it aint getting any cooler here.

no, i took his heads, and since it worked for his set up i figure it work for mine too. he never had trouble with the plugs. only difference is that his car is 68 stang and mines a maverick.

its the heads per say really, theres like one spark plug wire that lays close to the headers, there are special headers that go around the spark plug wire but those are like $400+.
he had jba shortys on his block. im doing long tubes. msd makes good long booted plugs in there custom made kits. thats what i see alot of guys run here and i planned on running the same ones.

Yeah i've seen those headers your talking bout, none of them fit maverick though.

some people have gotten away with using accell shorty plugs and Long tubes.

best of luck took you (y)

    nice build :Handshake
