Can't afford a second car so I'm gonna build on!

Here goes nothing. Out comes the 68 Mustang rear end, Granada leaf springs, extended shocks and lowering blocks. Everything came loose without a hitch other than the parking brake cables were seized and I cut them off.

Next comes a set of Maverick leafs, a low miles 8" Maverick rear end, new u-bolts, new shocks and all new brakes.

 

I guess we can now tell you your car is actually hot pink. LOL.

Well I got it together and yes, the stock rear end is quite a bit narrower than the old one....but at least can put aftermarket wheels on it if I want. The surprise was that the Maverick springs didn't make it sit any lower...maybe they will settle.

Thanks. The next thing is to remove the 4 lug frt drums and "4 to 5" adapters. I have complete frt brakes off of a 70 Mustang. If what I have read is true, that will make it 5 lug the right way. And it will get the frt track back down to stock. Those adapters are over an inch thick.

 

I'm getting an idea.....these wheels look horrible with the stock rear end.

 

Do I see torque thrust in your near future? That would look awsome!:bananaman

 

Skinny and wides I bought for my Comet....I'm thinking they would look pretty good and the Mav! The Comet won't be going anywhere for awhile.....I could "borrow" them.

 

Man, I don't anything could look bad next to some torque's. Do it!

Ok....when I get the frt end sorted out, the car will have Torq Thrusts!

 

I spied a new Dakota hood at the shop today...the leading edges and look like they might make pretty good quarter panel patches.
