That car looks great Bob. People are really getting interested in them. specially since they are not common like Mustangs and Camaros.:thumbs2:

    Lookin' good :thumbs2:

Like Don said, in the above post, about Mavericks being an un-common car. People are to used to seeing 10 Mustangs or 10 Camaros at the same car shows. They want to see something different. This is a car that was an affordable car that the average family could own. Seems that everyone remembers one but hasn't actually seen one in years.

I can't stand when people bring 10 brand new Mustangs and line them up together. Looks like just a new car lot instead of a car show.

Very nice, era correct Maverick. I had this guy telling me that I should shave this and french that. I told him, I'm just going after the old school muscle car look. I believe in the end that is what's gonna set the Maverick apart from everything else.

I'm not usually a fan of side pipes but you make them look good. Its a real retro look. Great job.:thumbs2:

I think Mavaholic was referring to the sport lamps how they should fit flush and even in the bezel.

that grill had been sitt'n in my basement for about 3 yrs. i guess i forgot what it was supposed to look like?i'm not sure if the sport lamps were an option on the 71 but i always thought ford should have made it like we got it.maybe they thought it might look a little busy with the sport lamps, center round emblem(that seems to fall off everyones car) and the name plate.i've heard a couple other people have fabbed their grills like we did also.i was pissed i wasnt able to put my name plates i got from england behind the wing window and the F O R D on the front of the hood.75% of the people that looked at it today had no clue what kind of car it was cause i got no tags on it.since it needs buffed one more time i didnt want to put them on it yet.thanx for the tip.
