The one I got from JC Whitney fit my utterly destroyed old dash pad very well until the sun warped it. Later on I found a perfect dash pad and that's what I'm using now. The cover makes a good sun shield for the new dash pad.

No matter where you get them though, they're all made by Accu-Form. I just chose JCW because at the time they had the best deal.

A friend of mine took his old sun baked/dog chew toy dash pad to a local upholstery shop. $80 later he had a factory looking dash pad. This incluided cutting down the high spots and filling in the low spots and wraping it in new material.

I too have seen some recovered ones that looked pretty nice. Not sure what they paid but there's not much to these pads so it's definitely worth looking into. As stated above, they are all made by the same company so they should be the same fit. I'm sure they throw out a few bad ones every now and then just to piss Gene off but a while back there was a group of us that went in and bought 50 of them at once from AccuForm for a very good price. I heard zero complaints. I actually bought 10 myself and still have 3 for future projects. It's possible there mold is wearing out causing problems. I have one of these that was purchased well over 15 years ago from JC Whitney and it still looks great.
On a side note, somebody needs to take on the idea of getting another run of these. If I remember correctly we only paid about $35 a piece for these when we ordered 50. Of course everybody that ordered one had to prepay before the order was put in.
    Good luck with it.

I'd be willing to bet there are WAY more than that! Do you know how many members there are on this board? Now getting the money together fir the 50 might be a different story but there are a lot of cracked dash pads out there.

i dont know how to start a poll but if someone knows a way to get a head count on the need for a dash pad, i might be willing to take on the logistics.
MIGHT! depending on cooperation on the board.:Handshake

I just sent e-mail to dave @ ACCUFORM regarding a bulk purchase. ask if our order was big enough, could we get a discount. right now they show a price of $75.00 plus shipping. when more info comes in ill post it.
