i will post pictures of these soon.
on ebay i found a company 'brake hoses unlimited'. the owner, nick, told me that i would have to reuse my old brackets (attaching the hoses to the axle housing), the rest would be custom made by him. the hoses are looking awesome, i'm just waiting for the brackets being zinc plated :thumbs2:

I have enjoyed this thread. You are doing and awesome job on my most favorite car. Way to go, and to think of the challenges presented to you throughout all of this, the rust, getting parts, doing the work of rebuilding parts, trouble with Ebay, it is truly nice to see the effort and quality with which you are going to great lengths to make this one of the best Comets out there. I hope that you have many happy days cruizin in YOUR Comet. It will truly turn heads over there wherever you go. Thanks for all the pictures and updates. Fantastic. I think that maybe the mustang should go to your girlfriend and you should take over the comet for daily driver. LOL!! It sounds like it is going to be a lot of FUN!!!

    Tody,
Your craftsmanship and attention to detail is remarkable.
I will continue to use your work as a guide as I make repairs on my own cars.

i feel truely honoured by your comments.

hopefully i'll be able to provide you with some more pictures in the near future. i picked up the doors and trunk lid from media blasting last thursday - no rust whatsoever. the body shop will work on the car from tomorrow on again. within the next two weeks, the underside and engine bay should be painted so i can put the car back on it's wheels!

ok, off topic first - semi final starts in two hours. i'm confident germany will reach the final and play against our neighbor (and win the cup, of course) :D

but then back to the project! the doors are now fitting very well, they only needed minor trimming. the body lines look perfect!

and the underside is finally painted! as the next weekends are already packed with a busy schedule i'll take a day off work to but the car back on it's wheels - maybe next week. you'll all find out in the pictures to come!
