Just keep in mind......doing that is highly illegal. Several junk yard owners around here did time in a federal prison for selling titles with dashes.

Since the store my wife and her aunt owns and my garage is in Covington Ky not to mention my house lol.....I could look at the car for you. :Handshake Im not sure the frame is bent.......prolly but without seeing it in person I will reserve judgement. I would offer 700 to 800 and if nothing esle part it out.

I agree. There are a lot of usable parts there. The Grabber hood is $300-$400 if it's rust free, wheels and tires another $400-$500. Like Scott said, buy this one as cheap as possible, buy the $400 one with a good title, put the best parts there, and have a nice car. It will take a little while to do, but in the end you would know what you had.

I had the same thoughts. Looking at how the bumper is sitting it may all be sheetmetal damage but not knowing how it was hit and not having more pictures I would be leary for sure. Provided it isn't a bondo buggy there's a bunch of goodies to be had.

Frame did get bent but this car can be salvaged. Car was in good shape over all. Grabber hood was in good shape no lip rust. Grabber spoiler is still good except a small possiblity the passenger rear piece....it looked ok but I would reserve judgement until I mounted it on another car.Frt bumper and brackets are good. I would give 750.00 to 800 and part it out myself. I think a guy who hopes to build a car and is on a tight budget should pass. If you have a couple cars or are an xp body/frame guy it would still be worth the 1000.00. The owner was a real nice guy.

It had a 3 speed transmission and a 302. The engine needed work but again could be fixed.

I would say this car was 80-90 percent rust free. Underneath looked good

If it were closer I would grab that in a heart beat. There are a lot of good pieces to be had. It would also be a great car to back half if you wanted to pro-street a Mav.

Probably depends alot on the state but I just put a 1990 Jeep Cherokee on the road that has a salvage/total loss title here in NC. Insurance is no higher but my dad got the jeep from a friend and he got it at the auction for $700. This was Jeep was rebuilt with a 30k engine, new paint and looks pretty good for the price. I have looked at other Jeeps with the options this one has and they are going for anywhere between 1500 and 3500 around her in NC

Ok guys, my new job is insurance and you can insure a salvage title vehicle, but if you have a total loss, the value will be drastically reduced from the book value of the car. There is also the question by the insuarance company about what you have paid for it and they don't care what you have put into it. If you spend $5000 fixing it up and the book value is $2000 you will get a lot less then book on a salvage title car. I have heard up to 50% less. Now if you try and get collector car insurance forget it. You can state the value you want, but you will be lucky to even come close to what you will have in the car.

That is a nice parts car, but I would not buy a salvage title car anytime to repair and the price is high for a dissasembled car. Book value on a '70 Maverick in that condition is $288-$864.
