I really liked your first concept, before the extra rounding. As StreetDeacon mentioned, a '70-'71 Torino is the first thought I had. Using a pair of those Torino front fender extensions might be a good place to start. What was your thought on headlights with that narrow opening, something late-model or 4 small ones ? Also a '67-'69 Camaro type front bumper might work well with that front end.
Love the look man!!! Loosing the side marker lights would make it all flow well. The angularity of the front side markers detracts from the roundness of the front end treatment.
This will probbly be all hand formed sheet unless I can figure something else out. My fab guy said it could be done in fiberglass, but would be a hassle. Next step is to build a 1/24 model like the big builders do so as to test the demensions and get everything in scale, make sure the body lines flow and all that stuff. The whole effect is based off of 69 charger que's and a hotwheel my son was playing with that caught my eye. I was thinking of hidden headlights or deeply recessed ala dodge challenger style only with just two lights instead of four.....I have a work up of those too but don't wanna show those yet. As for stuff like trim and interior stuff, I thought I'd pay homage to all makes of muscle cars and blend in things that I thought were cool or eclectic (like the gear shifter from an amc below) and here's the pic of the final design. I rounded the qrtr window a tad and recessed the turn signals in the chin bar. Now this project needs a name......
Since mustangs have the cobra.....and Mavericks are off the beaten path (especially this one) ...how about project Sidewinder? Isn't that a snake?
I like the first one also, it has a little more style than the brazilian one.. spork.... should i be afraid to ask why you just happen to have a camaro front clip laying around?....
