Someone pm'ed me with the suggestion of still keeping the Maverick look with the classic headlight set up, but possibly more modern, maybe even flush lights inset into the body like the mini cooper or such. So what about this one guy's?

I have a line on a 77 -It sounds pretty ruff though. I've been looking off and on for the better part of the year, when time and family permits. I need one without a standard column shift, or even better a manual. Very slim pickin's around here. In the meantime I toss out some concepts of what I'd like to build to test reaction. But to answer your question, hopefully I'll have found a car by november and get started.

I liked the first one, but leave the quarter windows stocks, those are Maverick, and give the car it's looks.

Now that would be interesting. Stretch the front clip a bit to recess the grill/head lights or come up with a hideaway headlight setup al la 70 Torino GT. Definitely leave the quarter glass alone and loose the slant on the head lights. Put em in a cove and keep em verticle. The last rendition is too Porsche...

Porsche....Thats what this one reminded me of !
For the love of god I couldn't remember where I've seen that before!
Wasn't that the Risky Business Porsche style? Around.. what.. 1984?
My first concepts were kinda 70 shelby GT style based I guess.
I'd like to see a shelby style front but if I keep effing with the damn thing any more it's gonna look like an Eleanor......

    I better stop!

I like the AMC concept but I think it would look even more badass if the rear quarters and valance came down to meet the bottom of the car.. So that everything is flush, good luck with it!

Sorry guys...I just don't see much you can do to a Maverick to improve the looks. I like them just the way they are!
