Great work man! I like it earlier on today I was looking at some of the old mav pics i had and i found some pics that I took of jay's car (BaldEagleMav) he has them too! [Pics of mavs at the 2006 San Bernardino Route 66 Rendevouz Show] click to view pics^ Its the last car.
he installed his a little higher which is a good idea. You can see on the passenger side it's a little too low.
Those look awesome. I'm thinking about buying these as well. I found an interesting way to install the riv nuts here :http://www.carolinarovers.info/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&catid=81:miscellaneous-tips&id=259:make-your-own-rivnut-tool&Itemid=150. That way you don't have to spend 55 bucks on a tool that you're only going to use 4 times.
i think the bigger hole you found underneath the mirror is on all doors - for those that come with a remote knob for the mirror. the bullet style mirrors do look great - especially from the inside looking out!
yea there is a lot of different methods. it's funny, the guy I bought it from told me to do the 2 nut method but I figure $55 for that tool is a good investment for me since I still have a lot of plans for the car . . .
WOW those look perfect on that paint scheme, nice choice and awesome ride first time i have seen this car good job
thanks! I messed around with it some more. definitely able to get the passenger side mirror to bend in some more. just have to get a longer bolt and bend it the right way. don't have the energy to mess around with it. too excited about finishing the engine up and getting to work on the supercharger . . .
Looks good. What's you plan for the hole? I'm considering these from Mooneyes and I'm not sure if they will cover my hole or not.
I'm going to weld it up. have to figure out what color my paint is first. I think it's an off white of some sort.
