this may be moved or removed, who knows

I would like to send out a reminder to all that doing business with members on this board but not through this board can not be commented on through our member feedback program.

I'ved learned the hard way and hope others do not make the same mistake. I've done business on here before numerous times, and one member helped me out a lot. I thought we were good friends but then was sold an item that was told needed minor work but ended up being almost a total lost if i didnt want to spend a heck of a lot of money to repair it.

so as a good jester, please keep transactions through the forum and not on one to one basis, even if both of you are forum members.

thank you and have a lovely weekend. :tiphat:

As a frequent parts seller on this forum, I have no idea what you are talking about.

As far as I am concerned.....all transactions are "off the board". This message board does not affiliate itself with anybody selling anything on here.

If you have a transaction with anybody on this board (whether it be thru the board or not) it CAN be commented on thru the feeback system of this board.

As a seller, I would prefer to keep all my transactions on a one-to-one basis and not through this board. That is why I ask people to email me directly.

I am just a little lost as to what you are talking about.

i thought the same thing too but when i tried to leave negative feedback on the forum member, i was told otherwise by Admin. rules clearly state the transaction needs to start through the board in some form.

so i lost out, and now one can know it but me, that member and the admin who talked to me about the rules.

so thats why im doing this warning to all.

O.K. I could not find any rules listed on here about what is allowed as far as trader ratings and feedback. If there are rules, I would love to see them. I was under the impression that feedback can be left for anybody on here, as long as you had a transaction/dealing with them.

    "Trader Rating System

The trader rating system is an eBay like feedback system designed to let you leave feedback for fellow board members. Both buyers and sellers can leave positive, neutral, or negative feedback and comments regarding the purchase or sale of items through the classifieds."

see, gotta purchase through classifieds to be able to leave a legit comment.

The trader rating system is to be used for transactions that occur through the board.

In this particular case, the transaction was carried out entirely through SMS. Same thing would apply to transactions carried out on ebay, craigslist, etc.
