I'm doing the swap from the C4 to the AOD. There have been members here that have done this swap and NONE of them have given any part numbers(that I can find) for the CORRECT flexplate and the CORRECT cable and related brackets.

Who has the numbers and can post them so we don't have to do all this rediculous homework every time someone wants to do the swap?
If I knew all the numbers I'd post them all so anyone that was curious knew for sure what they were up against.

Thanks for the link to the part number thread. I never would have found it.
Hey, in that thread, the guy asked if it was difficult to adjust. Is it?

    Is there a Ford number?

For the flexplate....or did Ford never offer the option. 'They' say it's a flexplate out of a 'newer'(whatever that means)TBird or truck w/302 or 351c and a C4....but no part numbers.

There are two lengths of AODs and there are two outside diameter yokes for the AOD. This is why some people tell you they used their original driveline with no problem and others tell you they had to shorten the driveline and use a different yoke. The splines on the output shaft are the same - just the OD changes depending on the original year and application.

Since I don't deal with installations I don't keep a database of the different years and models specific applications - I am more concerned with what I do on the inside of the AOD to make it strong enough for a given application. I want it to be strong enough to live a long and happy life under the conditions of operation.
