It's cool to meet members. I have met alot of them. It's really special when one of the two go on a trip for a part and you get to share iced tea or pie or ice cream along with some stories ..
I would love to get together with a few members, there just don't seem to be many here in Connecticut.
I would like to meet Moneymaker... that would mean that I would be in Panama Florida! I like it there... well.. it was nice when I went thru years ago. I think I remember seeing a bungee ride and a small carnival or something.
Got to meet forum member I got to meet members at the Roundup last month in Hannibal, MO. It was great to meet some fellow members of the forum and MCCI. I had a swell time being around folks w/ similiar intrest. My main reason for posting this thread: I hooked up w/ a member in my area "Bob Thacket and his wife" Saturday 7th., we cruised 30 miles to an event in Beecher, IL. "abt 50mi south of downtown Chicago". The wx was nice and we had a chance the to have our cars side-by-side at the show. I've had my car 13 mos and that's the first time I/we had that opportunity. Bob's car looks great and we all had good time. We had lots of folks impressed seeing the cars together. Anyway, it was pleasure kickin it a few hours w/ Bob and wife - great folks to kick it with. Look foward to doing in agn...
hanging with this crowd is great... Earl and I met Jeff and Jimmy for lunch at Baby Janes today...and yes, we went to Summit afterwards... ...Frank...
I've been lucky enough to have met members here from coast to coast. There's not a finer bunch of people anywhere. I've been to there houses from California to Maryland. My life has definitely been better since joining this board, and the MCCI and the MCG.
I have met some members as well.. Its fun to chat and swap parts, I just need to get the mav done so it can participate too...lol
"It's all about the people. The cars are just an excuse to get together". This is the creed by which I have lived where the old cars are concerned. The friendships I have experienced has many times over outweighed the expenses that I have incurred. Friends at school and at work come and go, but a friendship with a person with a common bond seems to last forever. We are a unique group of people, preserving a lost time and culture overlooked and forgotten by most. Long live the classics! As I get ready to head to Kentucky, I look forward to renew old friendships and meeting new faces, like Dave(Mean Maverick) at an outing next weekend. People who love the classics are the best!! Jim
