Thanks once again..... I actually just bout the one I used from Eastwood, here is a link to it..... http://www.eastwood.com/ew-spot-weld-cutter-kit.html It did work really well.....
Went down for a while this morning, got the underside of the cowl and inside of the firewall stripped...... The I removed the vent rings from the cowl in preperation for repair..... I ordered a pair of early Mustang cowl repair panels, I can use the pieces out of them to repair the ones on the Mav..... Pic's of the under cowl/inner firewall stripped..... After rings were removed and area cleaned up.....
very nice work, I have been watching this thread closely because of the great pictures you take and your willingness to tackle anything and make short work of it. just do it attitude is how I live my life actually I embrace the challenge whenever I hear oh you can't do that or you shouldn't do this then I open the can of whoopa$$, finish it and watch the look next time they see it. The end always justifies the means.... great work carry on !
Kleen-Strip Paint Stripper from HomeDepot, a wire brush and a little reducer on a rag for wipe down..... Thanks, I wish mine was done too..... That cutter works great..... Sometimes you just gotta say f#%! it and get it done..... and Thanks.....
Got a little more done today..... Had to do a little side job before I could start on the car, gotta pay for this crap one way or another...... The early Mustang cowl repair panels came this week, so I removed the ring from the driver side panel and welded it in to replace the one on my car..... Then I looked over the pass side too figure where to cut it out and replace..... I am modifying the Mustang pass side repair panel to fit the hole I made, it's about 80% ready to install..... Hopefully I will get it in tomorrow morning..... Almost forgot I got some nice carbon fibre wall art this week..... Here's the driver side after welding in the new ring..... Here's the pass side after cutting out the bad stuff..... and here is what the repair panel looks like so far.....
Dude you are rocking it out!! wish I had that kind of time to put into my car. I spent three hours in the garage today and was lucky to get that. Lookin' good!!
I have only been spending about 3-4 hours on Sat and mabye 3 hour on Sun, that's it..... I wish I could spend more time on it so I could get it done, but it's just been too damn hot.....
