Do i need to swap out the 6cyl crossmember for a v8 crossmember since ive done the v8 swap? is there a difference between the two?
Yes, the V8 crossmember will allow you to put dual exhaust or a crossover pipe. The six cyl crossmember will fit, but your exhaust will be hard to get in.
The ONLY difference is the dual humps for dual exhausts. If you are going to run single exhaust you don't need to swap.
Strange that Ford bothered with it then, since no Mavericks had dual exhaust. It has nothing to do with dual vs. single exhaust. There are two pipes coming off the V8, so there has to be two places for them to route through, whether it has a Y-pipe or and H-pipe.
i figured somthin wasnt right when the head pipe for the driver side manifold wouldnt fit. now i know why lol
