I could only hope, Dennis I do know that my plan is to finally make my first Carlisle next year with or with out the car - do you still have the tinted glass set? - I still want them.
I can appreciate that, so here's to you, keep up the good work, it looks like it's gonna be AWESOME!! Bossed
Hey Franktf - look what you made me do After seeing your cowl repair, in your project thread, it took me about 2 seconds to finally decide to do mine the right way. I knew I had to do something to repair it but I was always looking for the easy way out. I bought a double sided spot weld cutter from Harbor Freight for under 5 bucks and used it up. I'm really glad I did it, now that I can look inside the cowl and see exactly what I need to do to fix it forever. It only took about 2 hours to get the cowl top off and the rot through wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. I will also be using the same 2 Mustang repair pieces from CJ Pony Parts. I might even put the cowl grills back again
Actually it was one of the few pieces left on this car still attached in it's original position. Maybe tomorrow I'll cut the roof off
Oh there's some nastyness there for sure. Both rings and up the back of the cowl on both sides. The next step will be to clean all of the rust off and see where my bad parts ends and my good metal begins.
