My dad has a friend that stops by from time to time and is a self proclaimed Mustang guru when the conversation always turns to cars.
He said that the 65-68 Mustang hardtop is the standard for which all things came to be in the muscle car and econo car era. Yes, I know..we all get it. We all know that Mr. Iacocca set the world on fire that day of the mustang debute. Day in the sun noted....
As my dad and he sat there talkin about the "glory days" of the early 60's it kinda got me thinking. How come the Maverick, great looking in fastback form, was never offered in a 2 door coupe?

I think it would've looked great........and would have sold good.

They did? I have one in my backyard. Its a 2 door, and its a coupe. A hardtop has no B Pillar.

Very interesting. There are things I like about that, but on the whole I'm kinda glad it never happened.

Oh and Fastmav I like your Photoshop quite a bit.

Wow..that prototype is wild!...never seen that before.
I was just messin around with the chop..it looked ok. I like different and not so ho hum stuff.
What I'd really like to explore on a Maverick is the possibility of a 69 GT350 style front clip. I got the idea from this old toy. But I think it would be too hard to do......
