How can I tell what kind of transmission I have?

    Was going to change my fluid and filter, but it's asking me if it's c3 or c4. Something about a shallow pan? But how shallow is a shallow pan?

    1975 Maverick 3.3L 200ci 3 Speed auto

    You have a C-4.

    most 73-77 will run the c4.

    1966 Mustang, 1972, 73, 73 and 73 Mavericks
    Quite right - any automatic in any Maverick is the C4 unless it has been changed along the way.

    C3s were not used in the Maverics - they were used in the Pinto.
