My buddy stopped over at work today and tells me about a yard he just cleaned out. Hauled 44 cars to the metal yard. Ranging from the 30's to 80's. The owner had no interest in selling any parts. Wanted all the cars to go to the metal yard and be crushed.
Heres the part that really got to me. He said I would have been drooling. He pulled out a small bumper Comet GT V8 car complete and a small bumper Maverick 6cyl. complete. I cant believe he didnt think to call me. HE said the cars basically came out in pieces but were complete. So just to ad to my pain I asked if the GT had the scoop, mirrors etc. Yep all there. I know the owner of the metal yard so I'm calling him tomorrow but I doubt he'll let me in his yard for parts. This is eating me alive. Finding those parts up here is really rare. :banghead: Why didnt he think to call me?? :(

The more that get crushed....the more rare our cars get!

Yeah it is a shame though...lots of good cars getting smashed.

Depending whats on them I may buy the whole car for parts. I think I have a better chance of doing that than pulling parts off in his yard.
    Keeping my fingers crossed.

That equals approx $230 per car. If money talks, then that must be the starting point.
