Hey everyone, been a long time since I've been on the site. Well here's the Maverick, it's technically my moms (replica of her high-school car except the wheels) But she's losing interest in it. I'm thinking about buying it off of her, or just kind of scooting it over and making it my project...lol so here's what we've got so far-

So I kinda wanna see some 4 doors and see what can be done! I'm thinking some bigger tires, and wider wheels (in the back at least) to start with. The 250 runs great so no sense in throwing that away yet. Thanks for looking!

Thanks! I kinda wanna take it on the 2011 power tour, I took my cadillac last year and had a blast, but I feel like this would fit in much better.

One thing I know for sure will be installed is a hidden CD player with an Aux cable. I can't stand AM radio for more than 5 minutes. Anyone ever installed one and kept the AM radio in place?

Very nice looking four door, I'd drive it.

I've seen a thread on here somewhere about installing a new radio and keeping the AM, they used switches to change the system they wanted to send the signal to the switchs.

Sweet car. I like the shape of the 4 doors. I would drive it like it is and collect upgrades as you go.:thumbs2:

I just realized the title is for 1974, but it's a 1973 lol.

I love the 4 doors, I wish I had enough time and money to make it run with corvettes, everyone makes fun of the 4 doors so I'd love to show them up!

Thanks guys! We love taking it to car shows but this summer we only made it to 2! Others have been cancelled :( the small town car show series is going down hill. Need to start taking it to bigger ones :D

Sweet looking 4door! The only thing I would do is clean & paint the valve cover & put new stickers on it.

I might be tempted to put white letter tires on it also, but that would be all.

As far as the radio goes, I would get a second radio face plate from one of the guys here & cut it for a modern CD player. That way if/when you want it to be back 100% stock, you can reinstall the original radio & face plate.

that isn't hard, go buy this
    http://www.boaterbarn.com/seaworthy_under_dash_radio_housing_4732_prd1.htm

and put it under the seat, in the glove box, or under the dash on the passengers side. i once saw one installed under a seat but i don't think that is a great idea. make sure your deck has a remote. you will need it.
