Clear hood?

    Does anyone know what it would take 2 form a clear hood or what you would make it out of? example[​IMG]
    Or does anyone think this would b a good idea? :huh:

    I dont think thats a real hood in the photo. I dont see any mounts, it looks more like its just sitting on the car for show. In the real world I dont think its practical for anything other than show.

    I actually know of a Superbird that has a plexiglass hood to show off the Hemi. The guy had it made at a local boat factory. They molded the hood in a large oven in plexiglass over an original hood. The same place used to mold plexiglass windshields for drag cars in the area. My dad has one of their windshields in an old match race car.

    Wasent there an old chrysler that had a clear hood? It was called hemi under glass.

    They make clear wheels now. I forgot from what though. I personally dont like the look, but then again i dont build show cars.

    No that Hemi was in the back seat so it could do wheel stands.

    Thanx guys I was just wondering I would never drive a car round with a clear hood just wondering if anyone ever had on a mav........:)
