Sanding

    Not sure about the Mavericks (or other Comets), but mine isn't very flat. There are humps where the light bezels go, which seems to take up a bit of space. There is a circular pertrusion where the gas filler tube goes. The spaces that there is next to the filler are kinda pushed in, not much but not "flat".
    This is before sanding. It was too dark to take a pic this evening. I still need to sand it some more also.

    Notice the trunk lock hole how it has a ridge. The filler tube opening is the same behind that cap. It's not that the sides are pushed in, the top and bottom have a slight curve that blends into what is barely flat.

    Your right you dont have any flat spots. LOL.
