ummm, nope. Have always wanted to do a clone of a certain race car, but this one's too nice for that. Don't even know that I'll mess with it at all.
Four door cars have a more rigid structure. Mine (72)weighs 2,860 lbs. The 6 cylinder is @ 160 lbs lighter than the V8.. Nimbler around corners. Making a four door try to look like a 2 door is so uncool. The roofline is more proportioned on the four doors...A better looking car. The two doors have the profile of a dead fish lying on the ground...not a fan ..sorry.. Two of my quad doors attached I love that color on your car...nice..
All is VERY good with the Mav Wilbur. You hadn't mentioned her name, good choice. Now to keep my wife and daughter away from her. I've owned many (and I mean many ! ) old cars. And none have gotten the response from the family that this one has. My daughter (22yrs) is begging me to teach her to drive a 3 on the tree, (not happening !). Just wouldn't think that a 4 door Mav would get a second look from the "Fast and Furious" generation. Was good seeing you again Wilbur, thanks again. I'll take care of her.
Beautiful rides ! The Coronet 440 is sweet. I'm not really into any particular body style or make or model over another. A cool old car is a cool old car. My thing is the individuality, I don't want a car that every other guy has. I like foxbody cars but every other guy has a Mustang, so I went with the TBird. To go a step further in being different I painted it Grabber Orange. The 4 door Maverick fits the being "different" bill in many ways. You don't see many 2 doors let alone 4 doors here. Suits me just fine.
Im not a big fan of 4 door sedans but there is something about your car thats appealing to me. I like the color combo with the vinyl top.
