I wouldn't trust those ceiling joist to hold that motor. Get a cherry picker. You can rent one real cheap.
You have got to hand it to him for digging hard at the engine removal .....He gets my vote as the most determinded to pull a motor. at least in 2010.........GJ
Im telling you the more I think about it I have NEVER seen anything like that engine removal in my entire life.....I grew up around a farm and we did a lot of working on equipment in strange situwations but that beats all I ever saw....PLEASE BE CAREFUL...BUT my hats off to you for determination

Hey i need to take the motor out to replace a frost plug on the drivers side, The rad support was bend so i cut it out, going to get a good one a weld it in.
You just keep at it Kid....I'm pulling for ya....Those motor mounts are very interesting...Also if that big motor is 12 to one I can't believe it dosen't smoke those small battrey cables right off the car....You should replace those with something a little bigger and clean up ALL the conections while your at it....You Go Boy....
The battery for the car goes in a tray in the trunk probably because the motor gets so hot. My dad ran a cable right from the selanoid to the trunk.
