Joe Dirt is correct, not only is the center brace removed but the rest of the tower has been moved outward..... If you look at the bottom pic above the stock tower clearly orerhangs the frame rail and the top one of this car the tower is flush or just inside the frame rail.....

Also if you look at this pic the shock mount is much closer to the fender lip then it should be.....

Those 2 photos tell the tale - I think my Cleveland would have lots of room between those towers

Look at the overall shape of the tower, there's more to it than just the center support being removed, the surface is more shallow than the stock Maverick tower.

Those are Maverick towers, very modified.. The upper control arms might be from a Boss 429. Someone did a decent job on the fabrication of it, but a lot of rigidity has been lost in that front end. Hope it has some sort of beefy export brace/monte carlo bar, it definitely needs it, especially with a big block.

This is getting interesting. Two cars with the same modification. I know a lot of people would love some more details on this.

Yeah and note the stronger cased 'FINNED back' c6, and as you said small converter, and the torker intake manifold, with high compression you can guarantee this car was a flyer! I think your gonna need some tire for this beast if you want to run the street. :burnout:

no each side is moved out the same. when i measured it to my other stock mav it was about 2 1/2 inches on each side. basically the towers were just cut and moved out 2 1/2 inches on each side. took lots of welding and grinding to make it look that good though

Yea, I retract all of my early statements....I think the towers have been changed...By the way. That white car has the kind of braces around the shock tower like the Boss 302 I was talking about. What year is the white car in the picture ? Sure be nice if dear ol dad can answer some of these questions....
