small front bumper with 73 valance?

Anybody done a small bumper swap on a 73 and kept the 73 valance? I was wondering how it would look. Like if the opening is too low or too big. And wondering if it would even look good on my car. Ive seen the 73 bumper for soo long I dont know if I would like a small bumper but my instinct is to just do it. maybe it can be done without notching the fenders so I can alwasy go back.

ya that dosn't look too good. Gonna have to see about getting a valance painted before diving into this.

 

Yuck!!! But I guess it's better than nothing....

 

Might look better if it had some type of grill added in the opening.

 

hey there im doing the same thing...will a 71-72 lower valance bolt right in to a 73? same with the small bumper? and what about the lower valance marker lights? to the bolt to the valance? sorry im new to the world and by the way my name is james...nice to meet you all...

 

Yes, the valance and bumper will swap over to any year.
