HOw exactly does the NEW POST feature work? This type of thing happens quite often to me.
I click new posts at 12:30 pm today. First time on today. Its says no new posts but click to view last 24 hours. When I click on that a bunch of threads come up with new posts I havent read yet. Shouldnt all of them be in New Posts when I click it.

Anytime I turn my computer on, the new posts icon automatically comes up on each forum subject that has unread threads on it. It might be a setting that you may have to change on your computer. I'm sure it will be a simple thing to Stefan :thumbs2:

Darren, I am having the same problem. Something is frequently resetting the new posts list. There will only be 5-6 posts, and it will be reset to nothing. This just started in the last couple of days.:hmmm:

I also click on "New Posts" and it works just fine for me. when I get up in the morning....usually about 20 to 30 new posts since I logged off the night before.

I get it both ways. Sometimes it works right, sometimes it says no new posts. Sometimes when I first get on, it says that I have to wait 10 secs between searches, but I haven't searched yet so don't know why it does that....just a computer thing I guess....

I have notice this happen when I have a lot of PMs or the server is under a heavy load. Does this happen a lot?

If this were to happen again, go to the "Quick Links" menu and select "Last Day" or "Last 5 Days" if you have been away longer.

I use "Quick Links" and "Today's Posts" and haven't had any issues! I usually turn my computer off at night, but sometimes it gets left on and that makes no difference on the forum. I never log out, either, unless I delete all my cookies.:)

I never had a problem with the New Posts until Christmas. We got a new Mac computer. Now if I am logged in, the computer thinks I am on the site. Right now it says I last visited at 20:57 yesterday. But if I leave my computer on and go to other sites. And say I don't come back to this site for six hours. There will be no new posts because the computer thinks I have been here the whole time, even though I was on other sites. Kind of frustrating.

I didn't know about the Quick links button. That should help.
