Thats around the norm. On my falcon project it was 275 for the pair of shoulder conversion seat belts. Then 25 for each lap belt. When you think about it its totally worth it. In an ideal world seat belts and the braking system should be upgraded before the engine is. But of course we get carried away :D

$321 is better, than the feeling you'll have as they pick that safety glass out of your head.

Or the broken tooth I suffered in a car wrech with no seat belts... broken from my jaw closing to fast and hard as I hit the windshield...

Buckle up - it saves you from yourself...

I get the importance of the belts but what justifies the price being so high. The seat belt material can't be gold lined.

Did you order belts specifically for the car or universal? There are cheaper places. I was looking at these. Color 4002 is pretty close to my interior. Just want retractable belts in front.

PS. Gold is about $900/oz. $321 would be a steal. :)

The lap belt mount points and the shoulder mount point would be the same. I'm not sure yet about the retractor. It appears that you have to mount a tab to the floor and bolt the retractor to it. They also sell a replacement set for fox body mustangs but they're a little more expensive. Those look like you could use the same mount point as the outer lap belt mount for the retractor. http://www.seatbeltsplus.com/product/7989.html

Of course at that point you could go to a yard and get belts from a fox body... but finding the right color... and good condition... around here that's not as easy.

I'll buy a dump truck full for $900 an ounce!:bouncy:

I wonder if you could make your own seatbelts? Cut the old webbing off the buckles and sew in some new. As long as you did it right. I bet it'd come in under $300.

You would need access to an industrial type sewing macine. Which are not cheap, and they arent the ones that most people have. I just so happen to have one of those in storage though, i grew up in a wedding shop :D

Just found another reason to have them...

My health insurance excludes all injuries if a seat belt is not worn.

I knew I liked to be safe but not I can't afford not to be...
