The lug pattern on a 76 mav is 5 on 4.5 on the rear you can get 8 inch wide wheel depending on the back space I have heard of people putting 15x10 wheels on the rear if you go to the search section there is a wealth of info on tires and wheels that fit mavs and comets. good luck

I run 8" wide in the back, wouldn't want to run much wider, as they would stick out of the fenders a bit far for my taste... but definately run 5x4.5 bolt pattern, trades with ford, AMC and SOME chrysler patterns. Myself, have a set of the 1981 amc AMX rims that i'm re-working for mine, has a slight general lee effect, but hoping with ford centercaps, i can kill the mopar in them a bit :p

you can put 15/10's 4 1/2 back spacing on the rear with no problems thats what i have on mine with no mods.:thumbs2:

I'm looking into some 15X8 diamond racing steelies and they have a few offset options and I'm not sure what I need
