I am looking for some mirrors for my car. They dont have to be true mav mirrors. Just something with the same sport style. Any Ideas on what I can buy new that would look like it belonged to the general person?

Did you PM Mean Maverick, or Maverick Maniac? I'm sure they have some, even Craig should have some. I know I do (I have a box full), but not sure about the gaskets.

AutoZone sells a set that look very close to the Sport mirrors. They come in chrome or black. They are Plastic but look pretty good. If I get time I will post a pic of them mounted on one of my 72s.

I would think that the black plastic one would be able to be painted, don't see why not. The chrome ones I wouldn't paint though, But I guess you could also paint them if you wanted to with a little scuff up and some good primer.

    They don't have any?
I had a set of those aftermarket mirrors, on a car I bought once, the whole head adjusted, not the mirror glass, after awhile, every bump I hit, the mirror would flop down.
