    My '71 doesn't have rear seat belts. I doubt it was an option not to have them, as much as it was to have them. Gotta remember safety was pretty much an after thought for the big three back then.

    Early models didn't have the retractable seat belts in the rear.

    That is correct. The belt was just a non-retractable seat belt.

    This was on all 1970 and 1971's, and on early 1972's.

    My 70 had fixed rear seat belts that attached to a bracket just to the inside of the panel with no holes. My 72 has fixed rears that come through holes in the panel.
