    its a dooms day device lol. lol inside the box is the accel gm module i installed. the box and fins are aluminum to keep it from overheating

    2005 Rx8 with mods... hopefuly some time soon I will have another maverick and have time to work on it!

    What does this do? At first I thought it was the coil but then I looked again and I could see the coil in the background.

    The mav is gone but i'm still here!
    The module is the brains of the ignition, its the same thing as a duraspark box. Looks great Racer_X :)

    Thanx, i just finished test fitting the alternator that i got from the junkyard and it fits perfectly, I wil try and post some pics of that between now and monday i also made up some brackets for the engine oil cooler too (below)

    So by using the "GM" module outside of the Dizzy one can eliminate the DuraSpark box/module? If so I'll have to familiarize myself w/ this setup.

    Looks good!

    That alternator is a Beast! Left my lights on and killed the battery one day and was in a hurry to get home, so I figured I would jump it and charge it when I got there. Well, the 16ga fuse links(2 in parallel just like factory) I used looked like someone used them for welding wire by the time I got it in the shop. If you haven't thought of it already, I would use a good pair of 14ga fuse links in parallel(what I have now) or a cartridge style fuse(~185amp or so) just in case. My alternator was charging @ 135amps with a dead battery! :D
